This year sure has been...interesting. However as we look forward to brighter days ahead, I think it's worthwhile to also reflect on the magic of silver linings that tend to emerge from shadows past. From sadness can come kindness. From pain can come hope. From confusion can come faith. From struggle can come strength.
I've always tried to incorporate a sense of underlying hope in my songs. Though I initially had big plans to release a new album this year, collective as well as personal delays held it at bay. But I've grown to appreciate and understand the beauty of allowance and surrender to divine timing. I'm excited to share my new work with you when the time is destined. Until then, I decided to release a traditional piece that honors where we've been, and embraces hope in where we're going.
Here is my little rendition of the classic "Auld Lang Syne" that I recorded and produced one night at home, sung by the gentle pulsing light of candles.
