“I never really intend for a song to be about something when I get inspired to write, but I follow the muse where it takes me. If I end up speaking about God in the song then I just let it flow and try to allow the message to come through. I believe there’s always a spiritual element to my songwriting because I let the creativity come from somewhere beyond the walls of just little old me.”

“...The verse melody came to me very quickly and so did the words, ‘Jesus, You are number one in my heart.’ I knew instantly that I was meant to write a song of thanks for Jesus always being there to carry me and be my place of peace. I felt the need to turn to Him on that night, and I ended up doing it through a song.’”
